  Join MAX SF event sponsor Bruce Cecil on Thursday, Sept 11, for a visit to the California Academy of Sciences Night Life, which is located in Golden Gate Park. The museum holds this event every Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m. Only adults are allowed into the museum - so... no children! EVERYONE SHOULD BUY THEIR OWN TICKETS AT THE WEBSITE BELOW, but we will meet on the steps in front of the museum at 5:45 to 6 p.m. and go in together as a group.

  The museum features an aquarium, planetarium, rain forest and natural history museum, all in one building - along with cocktails and wine, for purchase. This is a hybrid experience with both open-air stages and interior spaces geared toward science, culture, and performance. There’s music and dancing outdoors, along with indoor elements (workshops, exhibits, planetarium shows).

  NOTE: The rainforest closes early, with last entry at 7:30 p.m., which is why we are meeting to go into the museum at 6:00 p.m.

  Join MAX friends for a potluck picnic in Golden Gate Park on September 27 from 11:00 am to 5:00pm. We are hoping for warm San Francisco fall weather. 

  
  

  The location is a lovely picnic area near the Chinese Pavilion on the island in Blue Heron Lake (formerly Stow Lake).  The island is easily accessible from the bridge near the Blue Heron Lake boathouse, or from the path on the south side of the lake. Parking can be challenging so public transport is highly recommended. (#7 bus to 19th and Lincoln, or Muni N train to 9th and Irving). 

  
  

  Beverages, utensils, plates, cups, and a BBQ grille will be provided. To ensure that we have the right combination of dishes, please bring food based on your last name.  Last names beginning with:

  Join us on Wednesday, October 22 at 6pm at Aiso (pronounced eye-ee-so) located at 4068 18th street between Castro and Hartford in San Francisco.  Aiso is a new plant based, vegan restaurant.  Corbin, the owner has lived in some exotic places and brings his authentic Asian and Tropical healthy offerings to Aiso.  All dishes are made to share.  Enjoy the heart of palm fritto, roasted cauliflower, jerk sliders with pineapple and much more.  Each person will receive a separate check.  A $20 registration fee will be refunded to you in cash that evening.  If you arrive between 5 and 6 you will be able to take advantage of their happy hour featuring signature cocktails, wine and beers.
