Join MAX and our Community Partner, The Discovery Community, for an enjoyable afternoon of lunch followed by a historical tour of the Camron-Stanford House.
We’ll meet for lunch at 1:00pm at the Terrace Room, inside The Lake Merritt Hotel. Dine while taking in the panoramic views of the lake. The Terrace Room is 6 blocks from 19th Street City Center BART Station in downtown Oakland and is moderately priced. To view their menu, click here.
After lunch, we will head to the Camron-Stanford House for a tour. The Camron‑Stanford was home to five influential families before becoming the first museum in the city of Oakland. It is also the last of the beautiful 19th century Victorian mansions that once surrounded Lake Merritt.
