Presidio Walk - Tunnel Tops, Battery Bluff, Exclusion Exhibit....

Join MAX for an approximate 5-mile walk and exploration of the Presidio to visit Tunnel Tops and Battery Bluff, two recently completed parks that sit atop the Presidio Parkway tunnels. Tunnel Tops opened in July 2022 and Battery Bluff in April 2022. Both offer sweeping bay views. Tunnel Tops unites Crissy Field with the main post and was designed by the firm that created New York's High Line to create another next-level “urban nature” destination. 

But wait! There's more! The Presidio also has other interesting sites. We will start with the Yoda fountain in the Letterman-Lucasfilm area, go by the Palace of Fine Arts for a walk on the San Francisco Bay Trail along Crissy Field to Torpedo Wharf. We then will loop back by the Pet Cemetery toward to the two new parks and also stop by the Korean War Memorial.  Then we will visit the Officers Club featuring a free exhibit “Exclusion” that explores the Presidio’s Role in the World War II Japanese American Incarceration. Plan to spend about 15-20 minutes at the Officer's Club.

Pack a lunch as we will stop and eat somewhere along the walk. Consider layering for the weather and bringing water and a hat. Walk is considered moderately easy and will be canceled in the event of moderate rain.
