Tour of the Paramount Theater

Join event champion Bruce Cecil Saturday, March 9, for a tour of the iconic Art Deco Paramount Theatre in downtown Oakland. Cost is only $10. The Paramount is one of the most glamorous "movie palaces" from the Golden Age of cinema, going back to the 1930s. It was the largest multi-purpose theater on the West Coast, seating 3,476. Our guided tour starts promptly at 10 a.m. and lasts about 90 to 120 minutes. The theater is located at 2025 Broadway in downtown Oakland, just a few minutes walk from the 19th Street Oakland Downtown BART station.

The tour starts promtly at the box office entrance on the side of the building on 21st St. Afterward, we will walk to a nearby restaurant for lunch.
