Hiller Aviation Museum - San Carlos

Join us for a visit to the Hiller Aviation Museum at 601 Skyway Road, San Carlos on January 28 at 10:30am. There we will get to see a large number of unique aircraft, collected by Stanley Hiller of the Hiller Aircraft Company. The museum houses early aircraft, one-of-a-kind prototypes, cutting-edge test vehicles, and others. You will get an excellent glimpse into the history of aviation development, particularly in the Bay Area which possessed the talent, science, vision, and capital resources needed to develop science and aviation in the 21st Century.

We will start with a docent-led tour that will last about an hour, after which we can tour the museum on our own. We will follow this with lunch at one of San Carlos's Italian restaurants nearby at around 1:00pm.  Lunch is optional.

Please try to carpool as the parking for the restaurant is limited. The event champion, Stephen Geisheker, can take 2-3 people from the Castro area, and other attendees also might be able offer a carpool. Please let Stephen know if you need or can offer a ride. We will try to accommodate foks  to the extent possible.
