Filoli, also known as the Bourn-Roth Estate, is a country house set in 16 acres of formal gardens surrounded by a 654-acre estate. Located in Woodside, Filoli is about 25 miles south of San Francisco at the southern end of the Crystal Springs Reservoir off I-280. Filoli was featured in the opening scenes of the TV series, Dynasty, as the home for the Carringtons. Now owned by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Filoli is a California Historical Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
MAX will be hosting a tour of this beautiful historic house and gardens. We have negotiated a group rate of $20/person that will include a brief talk/orientation given to our group by a staff member. Each guest will receive a Visitor Guide (a 92 page beautifully illustrated book on Filoli) valued at $10.
The property includes multiple gardens, a pool, numerous walking trails, and a lovely café where we could have an optional lunch. The gardens will be blooming with summer flowers and the weather likely would be sunny and warm.
