Solstice Evening Hike in San Francisco

Celebrate Summer Solstice with an early evening urban walk that will offer wonderful vistas of San Francisco! We will have daylight for the entire walk on the longest day of the year . We will start promptly at 6pm at Market and Castro Streets, and travel to Twin Peaks. Route will travel along or to the Vulcan Stairway, Mount Olympus Park and Tank Hill Park. This is a DIFFICULT hike and is not for everyone. We will walk up stairways and essentially travel uphill for the first half of the route. The route is about 3.5 to 4 miles and will take roughly 2 hours or so. The hike will end at Market and Castro.

The weather is difficult to predict. Consider layering for the evening weather that could be cold and windy in the hills approaching Twin Peaks.
