SF Playhouse Presents "M Butterfly"

Join MAX for a performance of the critically acclaimed play, "M Butterfly", at San Francisco Playhouse on March 12.  The play starts at 7:00, and we will have a wine and appetizer reception for the MAX group starting at 6:30.

David Henry Hwang’s M. Butterfly, winner of the 1988 Tony Award for Best Play, is a captivating drama that subverts Puccini’s Madame Butterfly through the true story of a French diplomat’s 20-year affair with a Chinese opera singer. As cultural and personal identities blur, the play challenges our assumptions about love, power, and deception. With its clever twists and poignant humor, M. Butterfly is a thought-provoking exploration of desire, illusion, and the complexities of human connection.

SF Playhouse is located at 450 Post Street, inside the Kensington Park Hotel, right off Union Square. There will be 18 premium seats available at the discounted price of $50 ($84 regular price) for MAX members ($55 for guests and non-members).  Tickets will be distributed in the lobby. Price includes the wine and appetizer reception. No refunds after March 4.
